newbie mistake...need help
Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum and the xd. I have a problem maybe someone could help me. I field stripped my xd 9, when I put it back together I left the barrel and the recoil spring out. Now I cannot get the slide to come back off the gun. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I know it was a stupid mistake! |

Will the slide rack back? Did you try pulling the trigger while trying to remove the slide? Just a couple of thoughts. If you can't get the slide back off, and no one else has an answer, try contacting Ajames. He is a sponsor on this forum www.xd-hs2000.com .

Sadly I did this too... just hold the slide back where it should be if it was assembled correctly and pull the trigger, it will slide right off......
DO NOT FORGET to make sure it is unloaded....

Yes the slide will rack back, but unable to get the gun to decock even with pulling the trigger.
