Meprolight or Trijicon Sights???
I found a deal on some Meprolights, basically half price of the Trijicons, What do you guys think of this brand? I have used Trijicons before and never had a problem, but the prices sure is nice considering I will be getting 3 sets for my new XD's I purchased this weekend.
Thanks in advance,,, |

How old are the MEPs? I ask because you can find deals on night sights, and sometimes they are 5+ years old. It matters because of the Tritium life expectancy. If they are new, go with the MEPs. They are decent.

Trijicons have the name and the large Gov contracts. Are they better, I would say "yes".

I have a set of Meps I put on last year and I think both Meprolight and Trijicon are big, reputable companies. I compared both side by side and they both seem plenty bright enough at night. Besides price, what pushed me over the edge to the Meps is that they have a bigger white outline around the tritium vials for easier sight aquisition during the daylight hours. Personally, the larger white outline was easier for me to see and get a lock on quickly during our IDPA funshoots at the local range. I don't think you could go wrong with either brand though.

Meps on SubCompact??
Did anyone put Meps on a SubCompact? I inquired to Meps ad received a reply from Kimber USA (distributor) and they replied that there were no sights for the Subcompact, only the 4" and 5" XD's.
Any ideas? |

The MEP's are way better. Larger, better to see especially in the daylight. I have a Wilson Combat and I hate their night sights. MEP has beat them even.
