Houston Gun Show was good to me,,,
New guy here, just registered but have been lurking a while since finding the site a few weeks back.
I made it to the HGCA(Houston) show on Saturday and it was packed. A change has now allowed vendors to sell packaged and sealed new ammo, no reloads and there were a lot of people. I got there early as I had a Hardware show to work myself at the GRB Center at noon. I made my way to the left wall to work backwards to the right side. You can move so much faster when there is no one around you. I was planning on purchasing a XD 9 Bi-Tone Subcompact and I found one quickly, along with a XD 9 Green Subcompact for my buddy at Bachman's. I quickly scoured the show and found no other Bi-Tones and only one green and it was $4 cheaper. I made tracks back and picked them both up, $400 on the Green and $420 for the Bi-Tone. I was able to find only 3 hi cap SA XD mags and they were only $25 each so I got them all. I did get a few of the Pearce Extensions as well. I did pick up another XD from an individual, a green 4". He had the whole kit with it and I gave him his asking price of $350, I felt it was a great deal, now I have two to enjoy. I think I will have to head to the range on Tuesday and see how they shoot. All in all it was a good show. I look forward to spending time on this site and gaining some insight and tricks of the trade for my new XD's. |

I was there myself. I saw a Green 4 inch XD for $389 and another dealer had a black one for less than $400 as well. I waas tempted, but I went just to look, not to buy a gun, unfortunately
