XD trigger job

Where is the best place to drill and tap the transfer bar to limit overtravel ? And is there anyone making any after market trigger parts for the XD yet ? I've only had this thing a couple of weeks now but I already like it better than the Glock 17 I used to own . I just wish there were the same amount of after market goodies for the XD

I have a trigger job on my XD40 service, Rich from Canyon Creek guns did it. I bought the gun that way from another forum member, so not sure about the price. But the trigger is phenomenal, I have another XD that has a stock trigger and it is SOOOOOO much better. I reccomend going that route.

You can find a variety of acessories at pistol-gear.com, and about the drilling and tapping the transfer bar to limit overtravel I don't know. But too much overtravel is bad I'm guessing.

trigger job

Check the posts for ichy_trigger. He has a pic for over-travel set screw. Have never seen a pic for the way to modify pre-travel.

Thanks that is exactly what I was looking for . I was thinking that that would be the easiest way to get rid of the over travel . I know that the XD's haven't been around that long but I am really surprised at how little after market stuff is out there . especially with how "drop in " this gun is

It depends on who you ask and how much overtravel is there.

The XD does not have enough in stock form to be a problem for me.
