Exciting XD-10 News!

Yes folks this is where I would be posting XD-10 news if I had any!

For now I can only say that after playing with my 10mm ammo last night I can confirm that IF they used the XD-45 mags for the XD-10:
The 10rndrs for the 45Compact would hold 13rnds
The 13rndrs with the +3 AGP would hold 19rnds of 10mm!!!

Could you take a .40 S&W barrel and rechamber it to 10mm? Put that barrel in a .45acp frame and shoot 10mm.

Not quite.

The 40 barrel won't fit in a 45 slide properly because a 45 slide is longer at the breech end than a 40, plus of course the 45 breech face is sized for a 45 case not the smaller 40/10mm.
The Croats would need to make a 45 slide with a 40 sized breech face ( easy ) and then downsize the 45 barrel/chamber which would also increase wall thickness to handle the 10mm pressures ( also easy ). It's do-able they just need a good enough reason to invest the ca$h.
If we keep the interest up maybee they will give it a go at some point.

Did you shoot it? The mags might hold but what about the rest? The barrel, etc.

Here I though we had some really good REAL news straight from the source. Ha ha, you got me a good one. Sosss, by mental extrabulation or something like that, what you are reporting to us is that my 13 rd 45 XD mags (stock) would hold 16 rounds of the formentioned, but not forthcomming, 10 mm ammo? Cool indeed.

And...never start a paragraph with a conjunction. No..wait..what I mean to think (difficult for this old coot) is that if SA came out with a 10mm XD, that would be very neat indeed. And...if a 10mm, why not a .50 Govment or even the secret .60 Govment, which would require a tax stamp though and $200 extra. Oh well. HB of CJ

I don't have a Service 45 ( mine are both Compacts the 4" and the 5" ) so I have the +3s on my 13rnd mags as they are just for out at the range, but 16 in the 13 sounds about right.
I have a Dan Wesson CBOB in 10mm and I just love it, would jump on an XD-10 as soon as cash allowed ( maybee sooner ).
