XD question
Should I get the stainless slide?
or Should I get the black, and send it off and get it hard chromed? Which would you choose... and who would be the best choice for the hard chromed and what type of price? any pics of work? Thanks from a newbie. |

I have one of each. The stainless slide is more rust resistant, but I haven't had any rust problems on my black XD-40 (in two years).
The black slide will probably show holster wear more quickly than the stainless, but IMHO that just adds character. I think it's a matter of which look you like better. I don't have any hard-chrome info -- others will.

Look at the heading General Non SA XD talk. At the bottom of the page is "hard chroming". Beautiful pictures.
