sight problem... help please

To start I just received my 9mm tactical back from Rich at CC. Trigger job, sight install and trigger smoothing. My problem is I'm color blind. The rear sight shows up really great, but the front is red. Red is a color I have a real problem with. The front sight just blends in with the black mount. The sights I bought are TRUGLO Fiber Optic Sights. Is there a way I cam replace the front tube with another color ( yellow, orange, white, ect). Is there fiber optic tubes availible??

I hate to have to have these new sights removed. Anyone out there have a fix for this problem?? Thanks Smitty

Easy solution. I send you my factory sights, you send me your new ones. It's a win-win

Truglo lists replacement fibers in diameter-specific kits. Each kit contains red, green, yellow, ruby red and hunter's orange, except .100 diameter which is red/green only. Since Truglo doesn't sell direct, you could probably check with wherever you bought your sights from.

And chances are if you have problems seeing the red, you're going to have problems seeing the green as well...

Called Truglo today. They are sending me(FREE) optics in all colors.. Did I tell you FREE. I called them direct, and told them the problem. By the way there .060 dia. She said she would send them out today. Red, green, yellow, ruby red and hunter's orange. So I think I will keep my other set.. Thanks everyone...Smitty

Try the yellow-orange combo, that should be easier for you to see. The ruby red is probably going to be even worse for you. You sound like your in the same boat as me, red/green colorblind, so you're going to want to go bright.

Wow, I think you just helped me decide to get some TRUGLO sights. I was on the fence but good reviews + good support wins me over.
