Outdated websights can sometimes be nice little juicy treasure troves of historic information ;d But wow, the sights shipwwreck posted look killer, the front and rear are defined and definitely conspicuous. Something I'd definitely switch to when time and money are available. ^.^

Those are the new novak fiber optics at www.novaksights.com - they now just updated their webiste with many other colors, too. when I first posted this, all they had were red and green.

I had never really considered it until you posted that picture, but I wonder how "mismatched" sets of TFOs/Fiber Optic sights would look.

For example, you could get a TFO green front sight with a rear set of Red Fiber sights to give you a bright daytime sight picture of green up front with red in the rear. At night you would have your bright green sight line up with the notch in the rear.

Just a thought.

Ok, here's my truglo story. Got the fiber optic only sights from pistol-gear.com (thanks, Old School!) Had a gunsmith about 15 miles from the range (appx. 30 miles from my house) put the sights on. He charged me $35 to put them on. The 2nd time i went to the range, the front sight fell out. I left it out because i did'nt want to lose it (and still did pretty decent). It was about a week before i could drive out to the gunsmith to get the sight put back on. I pull up to the shop and there's a sign on the door "CLosed for retirement, effective immediately". Needless to say, I was pissed. I ended up dropping it off at a pawn shop i've dealt with before, they have a gunsmith that works there on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I got hold of him and told him i needed it for my ccw class Saturday. He said if he had to order me another front sight, he'd put a Sig sight on. He called me back Wednesday and told me he had a fiber optic front sight at his home (someone just wanted the back), he put that one on and sed he'd charge me $20. I told him i'm getting a sub (yall were right, i got the 40 service about 3 months ago, and i send my payment for a 40 sub today, lol) and i wanted tfo sights on it. He said i could get the sights and he'd put them on for $10. Good deal or no? I guess i really did'nt have a point, i just wanted to throw my $.02 on the fiber sights, i really like them. If there's any light at all, they light up. I'm looking forward to the sub with the tfo sights. Sorry bout the rant

I have the TFO's on my new service model that I got from RT performance. They are GREAT. They are yellow in the rear however which does not really jump out as well as the green. Also, in the dark, the front green sight is much brighter than the yellows in the rear. I have not decided if I like it, but I might end up getting the green rear. who knows.
