no offense... but have you had someone else shoot it to make sure it isn't the shooter?

I had to adjust a bit to my wife's XD. I think it had something to do with the reach to the trigger compared to other pistols I own.

After some self adjustment, it's spot on!

when drifting the rear sight, drift it the way you want the bullet to travel.

To move the strike of the round right, move the rear sight right.

Dont squeeze the grip, squeeze just your trigger finger. I did this with my right hand and the bullets went left, did it with my left hand and the bullets went right. Dry fire practice solved that.

i have learned from watching long and hard...

that 99.9% of the time, sights DO NOT need adjusted

Usually is the shooter. From my own experience

Before you start banging around sights, try two simple little things while shooting:

I assume your right handed (if not, just swap this stuff around to the other side) sometimes shots going left is because the trigger finger isnt on the trigger properly, too little finger will actually "push" the pistol left as your applying pressure (conversely, too much and the trigger gets "curled" to the right), this is somewhat difficult to do as the XD has the trigger safety, but it can still be done....

but, the most common problem with shooting left is the weak hand (the left) is squeezing the weak hand fingers too much, again causing the weapon to "curl" to the left.......

that is 110% correct though, I would put another 500 or 600 rounds of smartly placed and controlled rounds down range before you start adjusting.

If it is because of improper trigger squeeze, you do not want to adjust your gun to bad habits...

Spend some time at 10 yards and adjusting grip slightly before moving the sights. Also, be sure you are pulling with pad of trigger finger and not at the knuckle. Just my $0.02.
