While in the process of forum housekeeping, there
are several forum members who have not adhered to
the profile rules set forth in your profile folder.

Specifically, the size of avatars and signatures.

A request goes out to all to perform your own
avatar and signature resizing, reformating and
following the same rules set forth for all of us.

Please consider this a general message to ALL forum
members. No one is being left behind nor is anyone
being singled out.

May as well start the New Year out right. Happy New
Year to all!

Hope this helps. Kermee (Dan) set these requirements
a long time ago.

Signature:

This is a block of text that can be added to posts
you make. There is a 255 character limit.

Avatar Control Panel -
Displays a small graphic image below your details
in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time,
its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height
no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than
24 KB.

Co-operation by all, will certainly be appreciated.
Thanx to all who have responded. Your comments
on post are always welcomed.

Sometimes, such as this forum housekeeping chore that
is going on at present, causes a little friction. The request
is reasonable and is applied to all forum members, which we
know will comply.

OEFM, no rope please! That leaves tell tale marks.

ok....maybe i'm just stupid....but i think my avatar is ok.....80x60 pixels....but it says 2861 bytes....is that less than 24kb.

also...i thought that if the signature is more than 255 characters then this site would not accept it? is this true?

I'm no computer genius, but 24 kb is 24,000 bytes. You're good.

The signature line is simple. Do Not list every gun you have ever owned or are thinking about owning, as some of us are not impressed by the wasted space in the forum.

Mike A, from all appearances, your avatar is right on or
should I say 'under' request.

The signature element may be the puzzler to all. Kermee
(Dan) when he laid the foundation for the signature, was
meant to be 'characters', like in alpha/numeric. Pictures
and other displays was really not meant to be, but they
did sneak in, somehow under the rules. Thus the need for
a little Forum Housekeeping request.....to standardize and
get everyone on the same page.
