Come on now....you sportbikers get pulled over for the same reason people that drive Mustang GTs, Vettes, Trans Ams and Vipers get pulled over - you did not buy that thing to do 55MPH and they know it.

This is why I like the V-8 Tundra. It has a powerful engine and hauls ass, but it looks like a normal, run of the mill pick-up...not a sports car. I can keep up with any GT Mustang on the open highway, but I guarantee you that if we're both doing 80+mph, the cop WILL pull over the GT first. I also don't have to endire the high insurance of the V-8 sports car and can haul something if I need to.

If you drive something that is fast or is built mainly for speed and looks it...you KNOW damn well that the cops will be watching you, so don't be so surprised when they single you out. I don't dislike you guys...but most of you stick out like a turd in a punchbowl. You make it very easy for the cops to hassle you. Brightly colored bikes, flashy leather jackets, some bikes have neon...come on now...cops have eyes, too. Its not just the chicks that are watching you pull wheelies...ok?

This is why I have never driven things that looks like that...why draw attention to yourself? I do 80-90mph all the time on the beltway in my old 4cyl. Volvo and the cops don't bat an eye at the boxy old thing. Sure its not as sexy...not at all, but I get to go fast like you and not draw attention to myself. Ditto for the Tundra. I'm going to drive fast (this is abig city)...why draw attention to myself?

Dude you sound like my friend when he whines. Want some cheese? People didnt spend money on their bikes and cars to do 55mph like you didnt spend money on your Tundra to pulled down houses.

No whining here...I don't care what you drive or how fast you go.

I was actually saying that if you are going to drive fast bikes and be flashy...don't WHINE when the cops pay more attention to you than they do me...ok? Any logical person can figure this out - dude.

(Your post also makes very little sense.)

Absolutely correct. The turbocharged 5-cyl in my Volvo S60 will blow the doors off most ricers and you don't attract a bit of attention (dark gray). I didn't buy it because it was a sleeper, but it is a nice benefit. 125mph and it still has more to give (closed public road during a ride and drive event). I love driving 911s, vettes and all the rest, but if you want to drive fast get a late model volvo and you'll be getting to and from work a lot quicker without tickets.

My point is this:

You said they get pulled over for the same reason Vettes, Mustang GTs, and Vipers etc get pulled over. I dont know where you live but where I live its the Mustangs, vipers and Vettes that DONT get pulled over. Its the riced out little import sport cars that do. One of the reasons being kids with nothing to lose and want to show that got balls by driving double the speed limit cant afford Vipers and Vettes. Its the doctors, lawyers, business men, people with careers that buy those types of cars and while I'm sure they dont baby them, they are more responsible.

You also said they know you dont buy those cars to do 55mph. Here you saying that just because a car is fast that you have to drive it fast. I was saying that your Tundra can pull down houses but have you ever pulled down a house with your pickup truck? Is that something you make a habit of practicing? You gun kills people. Is that something you do every time you take it out?

I have a pretty fast car. Its an import, lower, body kit, 18" chrome wheels, looks very nice and its an attention getter. I've had my run ins with the law for sure but for someone to say that I should be pulled over because I did the work to my car (or brought a sportbike or a sportscar) because at one time or another I've been up to no good is just down right silly.

Furthermore I find you to be a bigger hypocrite than most Mr-I-speed-in-my-beat-up-Volvo-and-Tundra-and -no ones-the-wiser.

I like the newer Volvo's especially the S60R but I was disappointed to see an exhaust and ECU reflash which cost $1500+ for the S40 only yield 10whp.

Btw, my 4500+lb MDX will beat most ricers.

my opinion..
1% are u kidding.. 90% of nutty things i have ever seen dealing with motorcycles have been with sport bikes.

sport bikes are operated by typically younger men that have the "im untouchable" "i cant die" complex.. u need to be crazy to have something that weighs 400lbs and has as much hp was ur typical 4cyc car.

are sport bikes wrong? no way.. one of the greatest machines on the road today. but... usually dont see a dad of 3 on one.

best advice.. never pass a cop..
