Came across a good deal on an XD40 V-10 service model a couple weeks ago. After researching on this site, felt confident about the purchase and made the buy.

Had about 700 rounds through it when I bought it, about 6 mo's old. I've put about 300 through it, and love it.

This is my first hand gun, but I've done a lot of shooting w/ some LEO friends.

Hope to get my CCW soon, and an IWB holster is probably my next purchase. Probably get a subcompact version in the future too...

Anyway, I'll mostly be lurking every day, but thought I'd say hi, thanks for all the great info.

Hi and welcome. Congratulations on your new XD. You'll find alot of good information here, and there are alot of very good folks on here. You will love the sub-compact if/when you pick one up.
