No longer making ported XD40?
I m hearing that the ported XD40 was a limited manufacture. Can any verify this or disclaim it? Just curious. If it's limited, I'm putting mine away and buying another XD40 for range use. Thanks

I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't doubt it. Most folks who were looking at buying them for carry or self defense got talked out of them.
The only place a ported gun makes sense to me is in gun games.. unfortunately I don't think ported barrels are legal in IDPA or USPSA Production class. |

the only thing ported has going for it is the coolness factor when shooting it, and that gets old real quick. Ported handguns are hard to sale, I liked to never get rid of my ultra compact v-10 .45, and I damn sure didnt get what I had in it.
