Just sharing a photo...

I had some spare time today, so I setup a quick photo shoot on my new Springfield XD-9. Here she is...

The black mag is actually from my Ruger PC9 Carbine. I just liked the color better than the Springfield stainless mags. I used a Canon 10D along with a bounced Canon 550 Speedlite to take the photo.

All comments welcome...

I like how yours is very dark except for the bullets.

Your brother has the same half-assed rail job that I do.. the notch on the rail is in the most horrible position possible.

If you buy the little mini-light you can't even reach it while gripping the gun. The later XDs have a better notch location (multiple notches, actually).. but those of us who bought them early on are screwed into having the bad rails.

So... buy the standard light that isn't made for the subcompact.

Do you have a link to the exact light that you would recommend?

For myself, I'd like the M6X, but that's because I want a laser for training purposes. I think the M3X is considered the "standard".

Any of their lights that aren't "subcompact" would be right up the alley of a full-size XD.

Well, from someone fortunate enough to get a later model, having the additional notch is a benefit. I have both the XD9 and XD9 SC and being able to use the X2 Laser Sight with both guns is a plus...
