Are there any black or non-reflective magazines to fit an XD in .40 Caliber?

No factory mags. Closest would be the ProMags.

That doesn't sound like a good alternative.

Has anybody had theirs plated? They look like stainless steel. Depending on the alloy stainless can be blued. Has anybody tried that?

bluing might work, actually I may try today depending on time... plating would probably make them to thick to eject the mag easily.

there are a couple of people who had their slides refinished and had their mags done as well mabey they can post some pics for you

Promags are the only ones I have seen in blue. I own a couple. They work, but they are definitely not Springfield Armory factory mag quality.

Some of these magazines look pretty good too. I think Mac's does magazines but I can never find their site when I want to, I need to bookmark it. OEFM posted a link to http://www.apwcogan.com/ in another thread and I see that they recoat magazines. Canyon Creek and James at http://www.xd-hs2000.com would be two other places I would check with about recoating your magazines.
