Cocked indicator malfuction XD 9
I remember when i had my XD 9 out for the first time. I think it was like the 4th round ever in the gun and i fired it then i was about to take the next shot. then I noticed that the cocked indicator was not sticking out. I dropped the mag. then tried to open the slide, slide would not open i then pointed the gun down range a squeezed of the trigger and BANG it went off. I stripped the pistol down found no obivous problems, re-assembled and tried it again no problems since but kinda concerned me. Anyone else have this problem or know why it happened?
Thanks |

Your indicator broke. Is the plastic guide thats on the rear plate now oblong or distorted looking or is it still nice and round looking. Just give SA a call and they will replace it for you.
