My Gunner's Alley belt arrived Tuesday. It makes a big difference. It is very stiff and thick. This is my first true gun belt. It carries my C-TAC holster or paddle holster or pancake without being to tight or sagging. Holsters work like I want then to work! The pancake and Paddle holsters are held closer that any other belt I have tried. I have a 1 3/4 inch web belt with a velcro closure that I did think really worked the best, until I wore this Gunner's Alley 1 1/2 inch belt. I have to tighten the web belt to tight for all day comfort. It is worth the $60 dollar price. This belt will stay stiff across the arms of a chair. I spoke with Comp-Tac direct about the C-TAC holster adjustment between an XD-9 service model and a sub-compact 9-mm. They offered to adjust the holster for free if I paid shipping both ways. Craig with Comp-Tac said that if I adjusted, the two tension screws one at a time, a quarter turn until the sub-compact clicked in place and drew with the proper retention, I would not have to send the holster to him. Craig warned me that if I unscrewed the tension screws all the way I would need to send the holster to him for re-assembly. Whew! I did that today at the range and used the C-TAC to shoot IDPA style with three other people. It works great, the adjustment screws are long enough to setup for the XD-9sc. The people at Comp-Tac really try to please. I started with an e-mail question Tuesday, got a reply the next day! I sent another e-mail and Craig and I traded several e-mails before lunch. After lunch Wednesday I called Craig and received excellent instructions about the difference between the two pistols and how too adjust my C-TAC holster. Thank you everyone for the suggestions and advice. With the help from this forum I have ended up with the right guns and equipment to shoot IDPA and have some great choices to carry concealed. -- Richard |
