DIY finish options
After trying a couple searches I cme to conclusion that nothing was very recent on this topic so I am wondering how some of the DIY finishes have held up. I am wondering what ya'll have used and how each has held up. I talked w/ Spingfield and was going to send mine back, but may opt to do it myself if I get a recomendation. I was specifically interested in the Brownells bake on finish in a can, but am certainly open to suggestions. Also can someone give me the link to removing all the parts (loaded chamber ind., slide stop, ect.) to do this, as i cant find that anymore. Thanks in advance and sorry for being long winded.

Click on either the slide or frame for the instructions. From exprence make sure you fully clean the slide and there is no oil water or any residue left before you apply the finish. |

 .....clean surface. Ranger did his cetme so he has done a do it your self.
