Glock speed loader work for XD 9mm?
Does Springfield make a speed loader for XD mags?
I have a Ruger (P95) loader that I can get to work on my XD9 mags, but the fit is not good. I've heard that Glock loaders may work for XD. Anybody know for sure?

Well, maybe not. The note at the bottom of this link says works on full size mags.

If you have the sub9 you can modify the HKS to fit. I just bolted on a 1/4 X 1 inch piece of aluminum.

FWIW: Here's what the Ruger speed loader looks like. The Ruger's magazine lips are a little longer front to back, so not a good reach on an XD - although the loader's tang could be bent a little for XD.
Pretty simple, and it will work, but doesn't give a lot of clearance to start the bullet as is. http://www.ruger.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10051&storeId=10051&categ oryId=13666&productId=17625&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=13660&lastCatId=13660[/img]

Fingers were deeply grateful to the HKS 941 in tactical class (1300 round day).
Works perfectly out of box on XD-40. Your local range might have one you can try out. |
