I think a great choice for OC. Got one of these myself.

Cool. Is the button release designed well? Id like it to be very secure.( im Very active and would be worried about my weapon coming out. But of course id like a quick draw as well

As with anything, there is a training curve. But it all seems to work fluid and natural. After pressing the button and drawing, your index finger falls right along the slide lines. Exactly where it suppose to be.
It's a little bulky, and is not carried as close to your body as other OWBs would, but retention and security are first class.

I use the Blackhawk Serpa for when I carry cross draw
trigger finger release is perfect and effortless

OP, I think you might be confused about the model you're getting. The level two doesn't have a thumb break, only the index finger release. I have one, and will soon be upgrading to a level 3 for work(armed guard).
Also, be aware, if you are ever on a crowded street, it isn't difficult to snap the holster right off the mount with the right leeverage. A buddy of mine almost lost his piece to a crackhead at a concert.

Yup I OC with mine.
If you pack the button with mud or snow, it won't work, but I have not rolled around in mud & snow while wearing mine.
It's secure.
Yeah, it's a little more bulky than some other options.
It's ugly, but hey, I'm carrying an XD in it, not a stainless 1911 or a 357.

I suppose your correct. The level 2 cqc I ordered is an index finger release NOT a thumb break. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Either way I believe its a good option for me

I carry both my XD40 and XD45 in them..love it! Especially since I have to secure in my car at work, it makes putting it on when I get off work super easy.
