Shooting Gloves

I've been on the hunt for a decent pair of shooting gloves. The problem is there aren't any stores in this area that has or sells them. Obviously that eliminates trying them on for proper fit or personal scrutiny. Searching the net, these caught my eye Shooting Gloves / Ultrasuede® Unlined Shooting Glove -- Orvis and look reasonably priced. Anyone have any experience with a particular brand you might suggest. Specific use would be operating handguns in a desert environment. Thanks for any help!

I use the Mechanix Brand gloves, for hiking, cycling, and shooting and they are excellent. Tight fit, well-made and affordable.

I got them here:

I use a pair of nomex flight gloves. Thin and breathable, good grip ability, able to grab small things easily.

+1 to what Airforce said. You don't need shooting gloves specifically.

I've looked at Mechanix gloves. You can get the at Lowes or Home Depot.

I've been using An old pair of BMX gloves.

Another Mechanix wearer. The only shortcomings I've found with the Mechanix Fast Fit gloves are when welding or wet.

Tactical : Mechanix Wear

I have the original coyote glove and like it a lot. Look at the bottom of the site for the sizing chart. I printed that out, sized my hand and got them off of amazon.

So far I haven't been wearing gloves, but, I have a couple pairs of Mechanix Wear and another pair that are semi-rubberized by G-tech.

Once I go from simple weapon operation / marksmanship / weapon manipulation, I'll start with some gloves.

Anyone tried the Oakley Factory Pilot Glove? Yeah, I get that they're a little gimmicky, but holy crap do they look bad@$$. I tried some on in a store, but they didn't have the size I needed and I want to make sure they fit perfectly before I order online. You can find them fairly cheap.

Those gloves look ridiculous to me. All that stuff all over 'em, just unnecessary and will probably just get in the way. If it were me, I'd go with Mechanix like I said, or some other simple glove that gets the job done. When training/practicing or shooting the KISS principle rules for me. YMMV.

Dangit, don't pee in my Cheerios! My inner 14-year old wants those gloves solely based on looks. I already have plenty of decent gloves that work fine for any situation, but...what if I take up mountain biking or something?
