Need a new bag
Ive been carrying around this basic Jansport backpack for 10 years now. The thing needs to be put to rest. One of the shoulder straps just hanging on for dear life now.
I use the bag to carry a few books, binder, sometimes extra clothes, pens, glasses, lunch. I take it to work with me every day. Most importantly, I carry my XDm 3.8 in the gear holster as well everyday to work. I have it in the middle pocket and it is easily accessible. However, in order to keep the gunfrom moving around I had to stuff some small clothes all around in there. Im just tired of this ghetto setup and want something nice.
I want to be able to use it for everything I stated above plus a range bag and maybe as a weekend trip bag or whatever. I want a dedicated place to put my concealed carry gun too and that’s where I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’ve been looking at a 5.11 which I will post a link to. I’ve seen the maxpeditions but the choices are so great Im getting confused and overwhelmed.
I’ve also seen that maxpedition sells a "holster"
but Im not too sure exactly where you would use this. In a maxpedition bag instead of a hard holster??
Can someone help me out?

No I haven't. But I was just searching the 5.11 site and saw this bag called the COVRT 18. He specifically shows himself pulling out a full size Glock 17 and says its a spot for a concealed carry. I still think you'd need a holster and would not have a gun just sitting in there without the trigger covered.
Around the 4:15 mark of the video.

Maxpedition has high quality, if pricey, selections. Check out Cheaper-than-Dirt. Lots of selections, good quality. I've got products from both.

Well some good recommendations from you guys to consider.
Anybody know about storing a concealed carry weapon though? Like I said, I'm tired of my ghetto set up in my regular backpack. I have my XDm in the holster that came with it in the middle pocket with small towels surrounding it for padding and to keep it from moving.
I have seen these fit all holsters that velcro inside a pack but wanted to get real life info from anyone that has one. I have seen a 5.11 and a maxpedition one.
I posted a link earlier I think.....

Well, I guess trial and error? Doesn't seem like a lot of people on this site carry in a backpack.
I want a nice bag to carry things but my main point of concern is carrying my concealed carry piece in it.

Ive been searching the net and I think I have found something. I am going to give this bag and this holster a try for my needs. Appears the holster velcro's inside a special pocket made just for CC.
Does nobody else carry a bag and a ccw or is it just me?
Anyways, I guess once I get them Ill post a review if anyone is interested.
