How have you guys solved it? Is it more of a horsehide issue?

I oiled the leather, but really, after a while it just went away. I have the cowhide one, so I don't know about the horsehide

It goes away. My cow hide was silent. Last week I got a horsehide one, and it squeaks. I put felt furniture tabs on the backside of the metal belt-clips to quiet it. Eventually I'll take those off and let it squeak away 'til it dies down.

I had that same issue. DROVE ME NUTS! I called Crossbreed and they suggested the same thing ksbsnowowl mentioned above (to place some felt behind the metal clips). I did not have any felt available, but I did have some velcro strips with sticky backs so I used that. Just stuck the soft side of the velcro behind the metal and tabs and VIOLA! The velcro has been there for over a year and 100% squeak free!! I hope that helps you.

Last sunday I was at church and leaned over to pick up the weekly pamphlet that I dropped, and my ST squeaked really loud. I have been using saddle soap which seems to work for a couple of days, but got sick of having to do that all the time so I got some silencer material from sportsmans warehouse and put it on the back of the entire clip. Its real thin stuff and I wore my holster yesterday and its dead silent. Its gonna stay there forever because the squeaking drove me nuts.

I looked for it on the sportsmans warehouse website and couldnt find it. I even googled it and couldnt find it. It is made by vista and its just called silencing material. If you live by a sportsmans warehouse just go into the archery section and you'll see it. I used to use similar material with my archery stuff but this stuff is super thin and seems like it would last a lot longer. Good luck.
