so that the fiberglass doesnt stick to the bondo use cooking spray or vegetable oil. be sure to use real bondo. i used bondo glazing stuff and it was a mistake because the pam soaked into it and getting to shell off was extremely difficult.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Layer after layer it gets tougher and flexes less. The first couple of coats i did with it back on the gun because the heat caused by the fiberglass drying will warp it.[IMG][/IMG]

if you have never fiberglassed before you have to sand and make rough the fiberglass between coats and its best to let it dry overnight. do not do it in your house or an attached garage or the fumes will get to you.!

Once its thick enough (like three layers) you can do it off the gun.

ok on to the next step... how to strap it. i formed a piece of styrofoam to fit the back of it about 2" by 2" and about a heavy1/8" thick. i put more fiberglass over that except for the sides. after a few layers i ground out the top and bottom to have straps going side to side and up and down.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]
As you can see in the last pic i finished how i wanted the shape and took some out at the back of the trigger gaurd so my middle finger can sit on the grip right and my trigger finger be over the trigger gaurd

i think you can goto AutoZone and get i glass kit for less than $30 bucks, it is just time consuming unless you mix the resin heavy on hardener.
