Question Re-molding kydex to fit a DIFFERENT gun?

What what?!

Well .... not too different.

First off, Ive been amazed and impressed by the fit, quality, and comfort of the Supertuck Deluxe for my Glock 26.
What I haven't been impressed by.... is the wait (took 5 1/2 weeks to receive my STD) .... err, I mean Super Tuck Deluxe!

Things are heating up here in Houston, TX, and before you know it it will beblazing! <-- me overheating. So as sweaters go away clothes become thinner, I am now I wanting a MiniTuck for my Ruger LCP

NOT wanting to wait over a month again... I recently purchased a MiniTuck from Midway USA today (can you tell I like these smiley face things?) It cost me about the same as if i bought it straight from Crossbreed (and thats WITH 2 DAY SHIPPING!)The only thing is they did not have a Minituck for the LCP in stock, So i bought one for the Kel-Tec P3AT. VERY similar design, but I'm sure I'm going to have to reshape some little details. Ive read about people remolding ENTIRE guns before. I know of the technique for remolding the trigger guard for a tighter fit. But I'm thinking this will involve having to heat and shape the entire kydex surface.

I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with this sorta thing? Has anyone tried? Success? FAIL? Any tips on the process?

Yes you can reheat it ..Use a heat gun and just move back and forth until its movable to the touch(wear gloves) and start working it from there...I it doesnt look the greatest WHO CARES it a cc holster aslong as you have a tight fit your good to go
