Ah thank you...I will check it out. Do you have a specific place you would buy it from?

Funny, I just got off the phone with Springfield today. I'm left handed with a Xdm 9mm 3.8 compact. I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, the slide size are the same on the .45, .40 and 9mm. It's just the barrel that is obviously different.

Anyways, I called them and they are sending me a free left handed one. The downside is they are so backlogged he said expect it in 3-4 MONTHS!!!

Hmm your post made me call them too...

Girl:"We currently do not have them produced yet..."
Me:"OK, can I be put on a list to receive them once they do get produced?"
Girl:"Whats your name, address, serials # etc...?"
Me:yada, yada, yada. Have you ever had them in stock or shipped to anyone because I'm getting different story's from people online saying you guys shipped them and others saying the exact same thing as you?
Girl: No Sir, we have NEVER produced them for this type of gun." (Rather abruptly)

Who know's I'm sure if I called again I would get a different answer...Ok let's try and see call #2...

Girl:"No Sir, unfortunately we have no indication as to when they will send them out, but we can put you on a waiting list. With everything going on just now (assuming she means with the latest shootings) I would imagine this will be put on the back-burner for a while, maybe after the new year we might hear something".

This girl was sympathetic and appeared genuinely apologetic.

So I'm going to assume that the people that have said they are in stock and getting one shipped to them in the mail is for the XD versions not the 40 3.8?

Just purchased the BlackHawk CQC Serpa Holster left handed (410507BK-L) on eBay after reading up on some review's it appears it's a very good fit for my 3.8.

Anybody care to give me their thoughts and opinions?

I have the BlackHawk CQC holster left handed too. But yes the are a good OWB, I can hang upside down in a tree and gun stays right where it should be. And your pants will come off before you can get the gun out without hitting your little button.
