High-ride OWB for XDM?

While I like what the high-ride would bring to the table along the lines of concealability, wouldn't the high center of mass tend ot allow the grip to flop out and defeat the concealability to some extent?

Only with crapy holsters and /or gun belts. I use the Crossbreed Snapslide w/Crossbreed gun belt. Works great! High and Tight to the body.

As Jamescal stated, a good GUN belt will eliminate your flop out factor..

I use a 5 stitch Original Instructor Belt.

I don't carry a gun because I'm paranoid.
I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.

UBG's Bonneville is a nice high rise holster.

I've never been a fan of Galco myself.
But my love handles prevent me from high rise holsters anyway.
Although I do carry OWB..
I use a K&D Eagle defender for my CDP..

And a Garritty Enforcer for my P239..

Dang it, guys, I thought I was pretty thorough in my quest until now! The options never end! Sure is a poop-ton of great options out there, I'm thinking the custom-made, X-month-wait will be a treat later on, time now to crap or get off the pot and just go with a manufactured holster. Bookmarked, though!

OLL, Problem with Galco?

They are big, thick, tan/brown, and ugly...
But I know lots of people are happy with them, just not me..
I'll let you compare:

I know wait times suck, but they are well worth it in the end.
If you order a custom holster, you have more input on the final result.
Whether it be color - for the makers that give you an option, some do, some don't
materials or trim - I have shark trim on the holsters in my pics
any specific needs you may have - I had a CTC on the P239 when the holster was made
belt loop size - see how big that Galco loop is, leaves room for unwanted movement
Etc, etc........
And you deal directly with the guy making the holster...
Both of the pictured holsters hold the gun close to the body.
The Garrity holster came pre-curved with an awesome body shield.
The K&D makes my 1911 feel even thinner.
You can find Galcos with shields and stuff, but there will not be an attention to detail like a custom maker.
Handmade details you can't get with a Galco or mass produced holster..

K&D also made my LCP OWB holster..
The LCP disappears in the holster with anything I wear.
But it is usually pocket carried.

Just to make it harder on you, here are a couple more guys that make a good holster..

Holsters by RGrizzle does a lot of work on Sig forum

TT GunLeather High Quality Leather Gun Holsters I'll get one of these on day

Milt Sparks Holsters Talk about a long wait time, but a fine holster..
