Holster and Belt for carry.

Plan on getting a Don Hume 715 IWB to carry my xd45 compact, only thing is now I'm trying to find a belt.

I've been doing research on belts, aparently it's very important to have a good belt when CC'ing, Kydex re-inforced appears the be the way to go.

Issue: Google sucks when it comes to searching kydex reinforced belt. I'm looking to spend no more than 40 for my belt, thus far I have found ONE for that price and I'd like to see what styles I have options of.

Issue # 2: I'm seeing varying thickness of belts, what size should I be looking at for a Don Hume?

Issue #3: Belts measurments vary, and 32-36 doesn't necessarily mean 36 or 32 fits. I have a 34in (and shrinking) waist so I need something that fits 32-36in waist.

From what I've read a lot of people have been through A LOT of belts, so I figured I'd be able to save my self some time and money by using your wisdom and experience.

I saw this on Midway this afternoon. It isn't Kydex reinforced but seems to have very positive reviews. 34" Don Hume belt on clearance.

Check out the Aker polymer reinforced belt. I have a black and a brown.
For the money they are very hard to beat for a nice leather gun belt.

Can get them in 1 1/4 and 1 1/2.

They are very strong and supportive but no so thick as to be hard to thread through your belt loops. Very nice buckles too.

Wilderness Tactical, period, dot, the end. My 5-stitch is on year number 5 keeping my pants up and year 3 carrying a gun. I love it and will buy another IF this one wears out.

For leather I have heard nothing but good stuff about the belts from The Beltman and will get one myself when i have the disposable income.

A good gun belt doesn't need the polymer reinforcement, IMO polymer makes up for taking short cuts in the belt making. I had a polymer reinforced belt for a few days once and got rid of it. I found it to be very uncomfortable as it doesn't flex with your movement.

A good leather gunbelt shouldn't require any kind of plastic internal stiffener.
I personally like the belts from RafterS. Rob Leahy at Simply Rugged makes a nice gunbelt for a fair price. You probably won't find a good leather belt for $40, but every dollar you do spend on one will be paid back many times over the years that you have it (and it will last for years!).

I haven't tried one of the Wilderness belts yet, but have never heard anyone say anything bad about them.
