twist rate/suggest ammo for a mini14 anything about cleaning em?

older friend of mine asked me to sight in his mini tomorrow, well he doesn't have any ammo beyond whats in the 2 5 rd magazines, so I'm thinking thats no good.

I have hot as heck lead tipped 55 grains (small lead tip, just like 1/8" from the tip) and the standard green tips, I'm more than comfortable giving him 50 of either, but what logically makes more sense for the gun?

I'll be looking here after church before I go to the range with him. I intend to clean it at least minimally for him anything I need to know? they do take proprietary magazines correct? Otherwise I'll give him one of my ar magazines

I use 55 gr Tula ammo and I am happy. People say 62 gr is better...

I think it does not mater, as long as you stick with one and learn it.

It is up to you to master your weapon, is my belief.

No magic bullet is better then the other, you just have not learn to master it.

I like 55 gr because of the speed, and when I hit a bad guy I want all that wonderful hydro static shock to F them up all to hell.
