Saw it advertized at the shotshow 2013 as the new takedown, looked nice.

RugerŽ 10/22 TakedownŽ Autoloading Rifle Models
I also have the K10/22-TD Model 11100 stainless.

Looked on youtube and there's only two people that have one of the threaded posted.

Not too common with thread barrel as I can find.

See some on gunbroker selling for $500~ $900.00, wow!

I paid $ 360.00 and some change otd.

I shot it other day with ironsights and its accurate.

Does anyone here have the TDT 11112 also, and whats your thoughts on it so far.

I have done a few things like , power custom mag release, auto bolt release & bolt buffer so far.

And if you have the 11100 what upgrades/mod have you done, like to see them!

So, I bought a used 10/22 a while back.. there's a post on it.. http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/other-l...2-carbine.html and i still haven't shot it. I know.. what the heck has taken me so long? I found out that it was one that was made in 1981..

I know I probably should have shot it first, but everything I read is that certain parts should be replaced with newer/better ones, so i ordered some parts for it:

I plan on shooting it stock before I change them out, but I figured i had some extra cash, why not just buy them now.

What do you all think?

1. Bell and Carlson Extended Magazine Release

2. Volquartsen Automatic Bolt Release

3. Wilson Combat Shok-Buff Recoil Buffer

4. Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor

5. Ruger Magazine Latch Pivot and Ejector Pin

I don't like the wooden stock, so I want to change the stock, but I can't figure out which one I like the most?!?! So much to choose from!

So I've been looking for several months for a perfect condition Henry Golden Boy. Was partial to the 22 as its cheaper to shoot (I have plenty of 22 LR stashed away). But every time I found one it was either scratched on the receiver or stock. However, yesterday I was able to source a BNIB only out of the wrapping when it was originally purchased several years ago one. After an hour drive and exchange of a few benjamins, it was in my car. I will post some pics later today if I get time. Now just to find a big brother for it.

So I'm a little bored with my RRA Elite Operator 2. I have a guy who wants to trade straight up. My RRA for his PTR-91.

They retail right now for about $1200. We have one at work and it's the nicest HK clone I've ever held in person. I'm finding mostly good reviews online about it. But before I make the trade I wanted to ask my fellow XD Talkers :)

It would be my RRA, 8 windowed PMAGs, and the hard case for his PTR-91 with (10) 20 round magazines and (3) 30 round magazines with a 200 round battlepack of ammo.

Now right now my RRA is selling for around $1400. When I bought it last year I paid $1k for it. The PTR-91 sells for $1200 all day.

What do you guys think? Would suck to open the battlepack and find a ton of corroded ammo. I've heard this happens a lot.

I have a friend who was lookin at Mosins, and now with 7.62x54r ammo being one of the few types that is commonly availiable I have stepped up my timeline of grabbing one. I was wondering what needs to be checked on these rifles and any other tips. Both these rifles will be used more for plinking (having fun) than hunting or serious shooting, although we will undoubtably test their max range if we can do it.
Things i've heard to look for:
Rust
Pitting
Counter-bored barrel
Bolt lock-up
Headspacing, How do you check headspacing?

This is about as far as my knowledge goes for different models:
91/30 is the mass produced Russian version, and therefore cheapest and most common.
M44 is a carbine length resulting in lighter weight, but slightly sacrificing accuracy and getting more recoil.
M39 is the Finnish version which is more expensive, but usually a better rifle in terms of quality and accuracy.

Anything else I should know or look for? Thanks for the help guys.

10/22 Dilemma: Wood Stock or Synthetic?

Title says it all. I'm going to get another 10/22 to keep at my apartment and shooot at the range while my current one will stay back at my parents'...

Title says it all. I'm going to get another 10/22 to keep at my apartment and shooot at the range while my current one will stay back at my parents' farm for when I go home to hunt. My current 10/22 is the classic wood stock carbine model, but I'm debating what to do with this next one.

On one hand, I do love the classic wood stock, it just looks cool and is quentissential 10/22, not to mention less "scary looking" than black to the newbs I'm often taking out shooting these days.

On the other hand, I do like the lighter weight of the synthetic stock, and the fact that it doesn't absorb water (if I should take it adventuring in the out of doors or in a SHTF survival mode). But All the guns I currently have with me (Glock, Walther, M&P22) are plain black, and I'm getting tired of black guns all the time. I think if I do go synthetic I may send it to a friend to have it duracoated, perhaps in OD or some other cool color.

So which way would you go?

I also bought a cheap tru glow red dot as i didn't like the iron sights at all.
So far I'm happy with it. We shall see how it shoots sunday.
