I watched it last night and this just might be the best Trek movie ever, yes even better than Wrath Of Kahn.
I won't give away any spoilers but they bring together a bunch of slices from the ST franchise and do it very very well.
Zoe is hot as always and a new hottie who looks and sounds very much like a real young Nicole Kiddman joins the fray.
Only "stubbed toe" in the movie is an unfortunate Avatar rip-off, but it only lasts about two seconds and is unimportant, I gotta dig THAT deep to nit-pick this movie.

Go see this one folks!

Easy Rider is probably the all time favorite biker film. Choppers rule!
I just watched Wild Hogs. That is one funny biker film.
Makes me think of the old days with Fats,Crash,Friction tape, Whale, LIL Brother, pan heads and knuckle heads, hardtails and springers, Bonnevilles, Norton and Glides. Runs for bulls cock and tight eye, aka trail balogna and cheese, in the Amish country.
One ride was the most remembered as it started out with 5 riders going to Portage on the Lakes in Ohio and ended up with more handle bars in my mirrors than I could count. Seemed like every block we were gaining handle bars and louder thunder that could be felt as well. Such a feeling of brotherhood that didn't last long. Seems we rattled the Sheriff department windows as we went by then headed towards Barberton. Which at the time was not a biker appreciating city. Three Sheriff cruisers pass us and the rider next to me said he was glad they didn't stop us. I said we aren't up the road yet. Sure enough there was a road block up ahead and the group started splitting up. They were not alone going in their different directions as each group had a Sheriff cruiser following them.
The Sheriff starts checking our bikes out. Many of our bikes were not quite legally correct and the Sheriff asks Fats where is his horn. Fats says OINK OINK. I thought WTF I can see chains rapped around bikes hanging from wreckers now. Surprising the cop didn't get ruffled and just told us all to head on home and don't come back.
Times to remember thanks to biker films.

I was impressed. I think how well you receive a movie depends on expectations. I was expecting a mindless CGI-movie with a thin plot and instead got a dramatic, thought-provoking sci-fi flick.

Maybe my mind was a bit slowed today from finals, but there was a nice twist I didn't see coming. I partially saw it, but it took the twist much farther than I thought. There was a lot of heart and soul to be found as well.

Overall, while this movie doesn't have the best plot or the best writing, or the best dialogue, it does all of these well. It also closes enough loose ends while leaving just enough unanswered to leave it up to the individual to decide what to take away from the film. For example, I found the film to explore ideas on individualism, the human soul, and questioning the status-quo.

Don't believe the film haters (there are so many nowadays). Go in with an open mind and you will be greatly rewarded. This could end up being a sci-fi classic.

Got home. Made dinner. Went to watch deadliest catch. And what do you know. The fine firearm retailers of Red Jacket are on. And there is another season. As if the past ones were not bad enough. The "highlights" of the upcoming season are hilarious. People complaining the punk kid not knowing how to build something. What hurts the most are the stupid tweets calling Vince out for leaving.

Sorry its like watching something so terrible you can't look away. I know I will watch five minutes shake my head and go do something else. But I thought I would warn people to avoid discovery channel on Fridays around 8pm eastern.

Starz is really stepping up the game with their original series. They had a winner with Spartacus, Da Vinci's Demons has been good so far. Now a see two new shows starting this fall and next year. The White Queen and Black Sails. Both have me interested.
