Had the XDM 5.25 (.45) out for another sanctioned match. I didn't do as well as I wanted to, despite winning CDP Marksman. Too many times where I wasn't focused on the front sight and moving too fast for my own good. None-the-less, gun performed flawlessly.

IDPA: XD Now Allowed in SSP!

Hey guys,

Just found out today at the IDPA Classifier that this year they are allowing all XD pistols into SSP (as long as they meet the other guidelines).

Shot timer question

Three Station Drill

Few friends of mine set up a three station drill where we started with one in the chamber on station one, went to the next with 5 rounds in a mag, then finished on the third station with six rounds in a crouch position. Zombie targets worked well sense they were cheap. Chest was one point and head shots were 2. My RIA 1911 was the best of all of ours. And the final guy proves why you should clean your guns more than once in three years....

XDm at PRP! Getting set up!

The XDm is at PRP getting a 3# trigger, polished sear, SS guide rod, extended mag release, and some grip tape installed! Can't wait to get her back.

Starting in June want to head to some IDPA and USPSA events!

Going to be hard to decide which pistol to use between this one, and my STi Sentry in .40 :D

Steel Challenge

My XD45 had been heading towards safe queen status when I was able to remedy it at my local club's monthly Steel Challenge. I was most pleased to prevent safe queen status. I was also happy that I shot it well. I am giving serious thought to breaking it out again the next time I shoot a 3 gun match.

First stage of the match, first round of the stage "bang" my rear sight falls off. That pretty much set the pace for the rest of the match.:D

Weather was cloudy 70-75* sprinkles here and there. Had fun though. Still need to shoot a classifier.

XDM45C 13RD Mag loaded with 8rds IDPA CDP Legal?

I've been reading IDPA rules and searching google for answers on this. I still have no real clarity on this.
I just joined the IDPA and plan on attending the next event in my area and will be using my XDM 45C.
Can I use my 13rd mags with the sleeves loaded to the legal max capacity of 8rds for CDP?
If not then I'll go forward with buying 2 more 9rd mags.
