I am looking for a #16 spring and guide rod for my service XD9 and am having a very hard time finding one.
Any suggestions? |

You would have to buy a spring for the COmmander sized 1911 and then clip some coils to fit. Even then I am not sure if it will have enough strength at the installed length to cock the striker. It may work, I have never tried it.

In all of my testing, the 16# on the Service was not enough to be 100%. The 18# seems to be the most reliable. On the Tactical, the 16# is great.

Trying a prototype of Old School's on my XD, I found that while it works, I found absolutely no difference between the 16 and 18.
