Guide Rod and Spring for .40 Service Model
I am new to pistols and to the site. Do I need a new guide rod and spring (from Don of course) if I am going to carry my .40 Service CCW? Will it help my 2nd shot, make it less likely to jam, etc.? I appreciate all help.
Thanks Alot, Adam |

Welcome, Adam.
You don't need an aftermarket guide rod, but you might like one. I would't say that it will make it less likely to jam either, since jamming is usually a sign of some other minor problem that should be fixed. Browse around for awhile and shoot your pistol for a bit and then see how you feel about it. Have fun! |
