The fat end of the rod goes in the notch on the barrel. The skinny end goes in the slide (with washer installed). The closed end of the spring goes toward the rear; the open coil goes against the washer.

there has been mention on the forum that a 22# spring is too much for a 9mm. Are you firing a round and then it won't cycle? FTE after you fire the first round. You might want to try a lighter spring: 20# I think is what most 9mm users have.

Keep a firm grip in the pistol. It sounds like you are letting the pistol move about, which takes away slide speed.energy.
Are they factory loads or reloads? And you only have one washer installed, right? The other washers are for spares. |

When is is oiled, the bronze is as good as the Delrin dry (not from direct tests, but from what data I can find). I wouldn't be afraid to use the Delrin at all, but I like the color with the bronze and use it.
The pistol does not need to be sloppy lubed, typically a drop on each rail will be enough. I put a drop on the guide rod too, then cycle it all by hand a few times to spread the lube. 'Glad it is working! |
