I have the 22# spring and DGR on my XD9 4" model and I really like it. It definitely works best with the +p ammo; had some issues with regular range ammo not being sufficient to cycle the gun very well and had some stovepipes. But with the +p defensive ammo, it works like a dream, and the perceived recoil is significantly lessened--I have greatly improved my "back-on-target" time and it feels very solid with this setup.
