xd compact .45

Don,

Tried several searches but came up empty.

Do you make a spring/guide rod kit for the xd compact .45? If not, is one in the works?

Thanks

Paul

What about just the rod for the compact 45. Is there anything available for that?

It's my understanding that the rod is useless without the correct spring. Don has yet to negociate that obstical yet. I wouldn't mind seeing just a Stainless Steel reprodiction of the stock rod/spring system just for better asthetics. Maybe colud beef it up a little too.

Use the same setup for a 45 Compact as you would for either the Service or Tactical, depending on which you have. The only difference between the Compact and the standard Service/Tactical is the length of the grip, nothing else is changed.

Pistolgear.com usually has all of Don's guide rod and springs, including the "Fat Rod" for the .45ACP Tactical.

I'd like to believe this quote from Archer 1945 but can't seem to find confirmation anywhere, Just a negative post from Don that he hasn't found a spring for it. Can anyone shed some light on this. I've got a 4" Compact I'd like to equip with Don's rod for light load Steel Plate shooting.

Joe

Sorry I did not catch that earlier, thanks t0066jh.
The .45 Compact would be the same as the .45 Service and there is no working spring combo that I know of.
The .45 Tactical has a couple of options going for it.
