Installed your guide rod...

...works flawlessly in my 40 Service. Kind of threw me for a loop when I saw what your guide rod replaced, thought to myself, "now where's the part that looks like this rod that I'm supposed to replace?" (guess I should've payed closer attention to the video.) Anyhow, very easy to install, took about two minutes. I took my pistol to my little testing range and ran a mag with SA's captive recoil spring. Then changed to your guide rod and 22# spring, wow what a difference. Eh, even if it didn't make a difference, I like the look of it better. Thanks for a quality product.

Oh, I don't know if your keeping tabs on anything, but I used the black washer, kind of looks better IMHO

Thanks for the review. I do like it in the XD40, not so noticeable in my XD9. The black washers seem to be the choice lately for the looks. I am partial to the bronze (for the looks).

With my bi-tone XD40 the bronze washer w/shiny guide rod kicks a$$!

Tonight I get to shoot it and see how she works.
