Any idea when your dealers will be "In Stock" again on the guide rods? Both you reference below are out.

I have shipped out a batch to pistol-gear.com, but only heard from xd-hs2000.com today!

Pistol-gear.com should be getting some on Thursday/2-7-05, and then more on Friday/2-8-05. I'll have to get going on the order for xd-hs2000.com right away.

I've had to farm out the rod production and will be getting in large batch soon, which will help lead times in the future.

I have not received my "farmed out" stock yet. "Contracted" is really a better word, since I specified my anal-retentive tolerances. I don't expect the quality will go down at all, and it should improve! What I am looking to save on is the time it takes to rough out the part. I will still be hand finishing each and every one, so I will still know what goes out.

The washers are all done by hand (on my lathe and then lapped for thickness and surface finish) , but I need to find a source for those if I am going to get the time to go shooting (well, and drink the occasional beer

). The washers have a tight tolerance on diameter, and I am not willing to give that up yet.

No worries on quality, that will get nothing but better.

sorry to bump an old thread, but xd-hs2000.com is still out of stock and they list the price at $16.99, whereas pistol-gear.com has them for $3 more

. I would defineltly like to order your product and give you my money Don, you seem to make a quality product. I just don't want to pay $3 extra to pistol-gear.com!

ajamesp51 runs xd-hs2000.com, and when he orders from me I send him the product. Email him and tell him to restock!

$3 is'nt all that much in the long run, 25 rounds of ammo or so. I give that much away by letting others shoot my pistols when I am at a range anyway.

Sorry the problem is that I am out of state, I am on a business trip and am closed till friday. I had rods before I left but people ordered while I was gone.

Keep in mind, when you order just the Rod for the Service model, it will do you little good without a spring. A rod without a spring is just a pretty paper weight.

If you own a Tactical model, and order just Don's Rod, you can use the stock spring.
