Question How do you clean Don's Fat rod for 45ACP?

Hey I just shot my 45ACP and it left all kinds of dirtiness on the guide rod that I cant seem to get off. What is the best way to clean it so it looks like new, or is that even possible? Thanks in advance.

Whatever you use on your bore should clean the rod. Brake Cleaner is good stuff and kills wasps too. The rod is 303 stainless, solvents are not going to hurt it.

I have been using Break-Free CLP for 6mos.
Spray it down, scrub with toothbrush, and wipe off with old jammies.
Works great.
