The Barsto rod is for the 5" only, and as such would not be much different. Their's says heat treated, so I will guess it is 416 stainless where I use a 300 series.
The alloy and hardness I have wondered about, since it rides direct in the slide. Right now I am thinking let the rod be soft so it is the wear point while leaving the slide less affected, but it may not matter at all. |
