First time out with the new DGR and #22 spring
I finally got to take my XD9 Service to the range with a new DGR and 22# spring. I was very happy with the results.
7 yds. fast fire 10 rounds w/DGR ![]() the one flyer really pissed me off but still a great improvement this is about the same distance slow fire from the last range trip I took ![]() all shot using WWB, 115gr. The recoil didn't really seem all that less than with the stock set up but it did feel more managable, if that makes sense. Now I can't wait for the first IDPA match I get to shoot with it.

Nice groups XDJON! I'll need allot more practice to see that on my targets.
Here's something that Hooz said. "The amount of recoil never really changes, spring weight just affects its characteristics. Lighter spring = Faster recoil, more snap, faster return to target (sight picture) Heavier spring = Slower recoil, more push, slower return to target (sight picture)" Keeping the above statement in mind, it makes perfect sence that the recoil wouldn't be less (it can't) yet it felt more managable. I like the idea of being able to choose how the recoil acts, thus making it managable...to a certain degree at least.
