#24 Spring in a .40 Service
I ordered my DGR and Spring from PG Thursday and the only springs available were #24 and #18. I didn't want stock so I bought the #24. I mainly shoot CCI Blazer 180gr FMJ and 155gr Winchester Ranger ammo. Will I experience any problems with this setup?

That was my ideal setup. I just haven't heard of ANYONE on this board in my month of lurking that runs a 24.

You should be fine. It has been a few years since I used the 24# spring, but as I remember the main thing was it was hard to work the slide and I figured many would not like that. But if you can work the slide it should function ok. Anyway, let us know, feedback is always good.

I don't have any problems with racking the slide on my service with the 24# spring in. It feels a little tighter, but not that much. I also have a 22# spring, but haven't had the need to try it.

Thanks guys. I wasn't really worried about being able to rack the slide. I was just worried about having problems with the slide not locking or stovepipes.
