Is there a break-in period with Don's Rod?

I tried mine out with the 20# spring (SA XDService 40). On a few occassions, pulled the trigger and nothing happened. I suspect that the gun didn't go into full battery but not sure. Help appreciated.

Switched back to the stock XD recoil captured assembly and no problems. ???

I sent a email earlier today with some ideas. I'm thinking make sure the grip safety is depressed, as the different recoil may be changing the grip if it is held loose.

I am thinking you may be right Don. Going to the range for an encore this weekend. Will let you know. Thanks.

Any further news on a captured recoil assembly for the XD?
