Smile Don's recoil spring

I am new to this board. I have a question for Don about his springs. I ordered a Don's Guide Rod and Spring for a Springfield XD 40 service model gun. I just recieved my order and the spring I got says it is for a Springfield Armory 1911A1 Light weight Compact, .45 ACP. It also says W.C. Wolff Company. Is this the right spring for my gun? There is also a smaller spring in the package. I contacted PistolGear.com and they said it is the right one. The stock number on the package is 49322. I am fairly new to shooting handguns and I just want to make sure I have the right recoil spring. Thank you for your help.

Everything is correct. The springs used are Wolff springs, Don makes guide rods only, and from what I understand the guide rod you purchased will open up the door for you to use 1911 springs which is good news since it creates more flexibility for you.

Trust pisolgear, great guy, knows his stuff. Just ask anyone on this form that has purchased from him.

All is good. I did the same thing when I had my 40. You don't need the little spring.
