I Just Picked Up A Xd45 Tactical Compact, And Wanted To Know If Don Still Made The Tungsten Guide Rods. Also, What Is The Diff Between The Dgr And The Fat Rod? I Presume The 1911 Spring Is Available For Use On The Stock Xd45 Tact?

I only make them after I get a check in hand. I have figured I can buy a smaller diameter rod for the 9mm/.40 Service rods and reduce material cost, but for a .45 rod they are they fat stuff and would be pricey.

That is also a big slab of weight in a .45 Tactical, I'm not sure if even I would want that (and I don't pay myself so my price is better

).

Well, I understand thet your skinny rod allows us to use the 1911 springs (max of 24#), which is super groovy, and the fat rod uses the stock diameter spring (max of 20#). I have seen a few posts where binding is an issue using the skinny rod / bushing combination, but I think that might be one of those end user errors. In your experience, what rod / spring # combo work FLAWLESSLY?
