Guide Rod Question
Don,
I noticed that mokona2 asked you about a barrel bushing for your guide rod. My question is, have you thought of a spring bushing (similiar to the 1911s) that would work with your guide rod instead of the washer? If I'm asking the same thing as mokona2, forgive me. Thanks.

I can make them, but there is no great advantage to them. And they take quite a bit of time turning them out on my lathe and hitting the dimensions that I want to hit, so I don't make them for production.
I have one in my parts bin but I use the plain flat washer for my own pistol, I find it more convenient to have it fall loose from the slide. |

if you build it they will come, don.............
i would lay down some change for a bushing. i'm sure other people would too if it were available. not that i have a problem with the washer, because i don't. i haven't even lost it yet. plus i have spares. but if you did make one i would buy one just because............

I would buy your guide rod if it came with a bushing. I have no interest in the washer setup. I guess it goes to my 1911 roots.
