OK, so where do I get one?

I've looked on pistolgear.com, who is sold out of pretty much everything that is DGR related. Is there another webiste I can buy a DRG/spring combo?

Also, a quick question here...sorry if this has been covered, but I need an opinion. I'm interested in this product primarily for reliability reasons, and maybe a little bit of bling over the stock rod... I'm picking up my XD40 4" service model tomorrow, which will be used 95% of the time as my duty weapon. That being said, what spring would optomize it's performance in such a role? I'm not sure what kind of JHP ammo they will issue me for duty carry, but I worry about having "too much spring" for the regular ball rounds I'll fire during qualification and range days. I don't want the gun jamming up on me left and right becasue the rounds I'm using aren't hot enough to cleanly eject.

If an 18# spring is pretty much stock-equivalent, and the 22# spring has some trouble with weaker rounds (from what I've heard in other threads), would the 20# spring be a decent compromise between the two?

I've only had issues with the 22# when using the 9mm conversion bbl. Have only had good outcomes in the 40 with the 22# and 24# spring. I've got the 40 service, it's about a year and a half old with approx. 1500+ round of 40 and about the same of 9mm through it.

What loads have you used with the 22# spring? I'm thinking that it might be in my best interests to just buy all of the different ones and try them out.

I'm still at a loss as to where I can purchase a set though. Does anyone besides pistolgear sell them?

In 40 I shoot mostly WWB 165 gr FMJ, Blazer Brass 180 gr FMJ, and Speer Gold Dots in 165, and some Hornady TAP in 150.

Thanks for the heads up man, I just picked it up, with the bushing! I still need to order a recoil spring for it Don, so I'll be placing that order within a day or two. Thanks for the help guys.

as far as reliability with the heavy springs goes, I've got the 22# spring on my xd9, and shoot wwb 115 gr and haven't had any problems at all...

Also... I'm gonna order the stock weight spring soon just because I can recover from the recoil faster on the 18 pounder... I'd like to go lighter, but I don't think you can on the service model...
