40 Ported - need to order, but have ?

Don, I have a .40 ported XD and want to order your guide rod. I've been reading through all these posts and have to admit I'm just a bit confused so I want to make sure I get this right the first time.

Can you tell me exactly what I need to order? Spring weight, the bushing (I"m unclear if I need or should get it), etc. Please let me know everything I need. Thanks.

For the Service model (4" barrel) the rod comes with a bushing.
Some have had poor luck with heavy springs and the porting, as the slide slows down too much and you get stovepiping. So I think stay with the 18# rate which is the stock weight. So the only reason to do my rod in the ported is to go for the bling, and have a solid easy to clean rod that will not come apart on you.

Thanks Don. I'll be ordering that when the folks at PistolGear come back from the holiday. Well, looks are enough for me at this point as I hate the way the stock rod looks. I'll give it a shot.

Happy Holidays.
