Well now I didn't see allot of range reports so...
I got my Fat Rod (can I just call it the Tactical Clone Rod?) almost a month ago. Didn't get a chance to shoot with it until yesterday. I really like the feel it gives the gun. I think it helps with muzzle flip. I'm real happy with it but also looking forward to a skinny rod that will allow me to switch springs in my Tactical. Don is the man.

+1 on the FGR.
I was running the Prototype rod but had to change to the Fat Guide Rod so my wife could use the gun for her Basic Handgun Class. Ran about 75 rounds of UMC 230gr FMJ through it. Muzzle rise and felt recoil is way down. Add in the skateboard tape plastered all over the grip and you have a very easy gun to blaze away with. She should do just fine on Sunday. She likes the Tactcal a lot. I may release it to her if a Bi-Tone appears at SW. Here is a shameless plug. I don't have any affilation with the Oregon Firearms Academy other than being a very satisfied graduate. If you live in Oregon, check OFA out. They are a top notch group. http://www.oregonfirearmsacademy.com/ ZM |
